Pages per sheetAutomatic spreads uses two pages when the PDF prefers a spread and the pages fit on the selected paper.

First page side

OrientationAutomatic follows single-page proportions and chooses the better side-by-side or stacked two-page arrangement.

Page scalingFit to sheet may enlarge smaller pages. Keep smaller pages at actual size centers them without enlargement. Oversized pages are always reduced.

Quality300 DPI and 600 DPI are final output-sheet resolutions. Quality may be reduced to fit print limits.

Booklet printout using A4 paper

File: "printout-BOOKLET_*.pdf"

This is a version for printing a double-sided booklet with A5 size pages onto A4 size paper at home. This requires double-sided printing, manual cutting of the pages, and preferably binding. The process demands quite a lot of work, but the result is a nice booklet in the format the songbook is designed for.

Note that you must choose "flip over short side" or similar in the double-sided printing options of your printing software. It is best to print as "original size" or "scale: 100%".

If your printer only supports single-sided printing, you can still create a double-sided booklet. Read the guide to double-sided booklet printing using a single-sided printer .

If you commission a print shop to print the book for you, please provide them with the default version of the songbook file instead of this.

Easy printout using A4 paper

File: "printout-EASY_*.pdf"

This file you can just easily print on A4 paper without any special settings in your printing software. The result is two pages side-by-side on one A4 paper surface. The pages in such spreads are correctly positioned: the odd pages are on the right (recto). This can be printed either single-sided or double-sided.

If you print double-sided, note that you must choose "flip over short side" or similar in the double-sided printing options of your printing software.

It is also best to print as "original size" or "scale: 100%" if using A4 paper. If you print on some other paper size, then you should let the printing software scale the pages to fit on paper.
